Seriously tho’, how come all the fun stuff comes up in September!?! It’s as if the adult world is just waiting for the kids to go back to school, holding their breathe all summer and then suddenly September 1st comes round, and we exhale and then …Electric Picnic…Fringe Festival…Theatre Festival…the best gigs in town…and I’m pretty sure there’s a comedy festival in there too, and Cois Farraige!
It’s just such a bank breaker – and they’re already broken enough. I couldn’t afford EP, so that was a no go from the start. So instead I spread the funds out with a couple of tickets for a few things in both theatre festivals, and now today happens. I hear that Thursday tickets are going on sale for Rodrigo Y Gabriela and then on Friday, tickets for Florence and The Machine go on sale – Yes, because I am just made of money – why can’t we spread the love a bit over the year. There’ll be nothing on in January – guaranteed!
Rant over, I’m not going to complain about the chance to see either of those gigs – but I’ll be living on cornflakes until payday. In the run-up, here’s some Rodrigo Y Gabriela love:
