It’s the second anniversary of my official move from Limerick to Dublin, so I’ve decided to blog about my favourite
places in Dublin – and I might throw in some of my least favourite places too!
My favourite restaurant/café has to be Queen of Tarts.
My favourite pub is The Shakespeare & Anseo, Camden St.
My favourite park is probably Stephen’s Green but I could easily change that.
My favourite book shop is Chapters; but I’m also a sucker for the book stalls in Templebar.
Pet hate – flippin’ cyclists on the flippin’ footpath & people not as friendly on nights out – kinda snobby:(
Best Bit - less rain than Limerick, and it’s big enough to provide a good mix but small enough to walk from one end of the city to the other.
Then in light of the fact that I’m from Limerick, I’m going to do my favourite places in Limerick too
My favourite pub is a toss up between mickey martin’s and Costello’s
My favourite restaurant was Bruleés but unfortunately that has since shut down, as has Javas so that gap has to be filled!
Favourite park? Hah – Limerick has no parks, apart from People’s Park and that’s a bit dodge! – but I like going for walks out in UL, the Condell rd, by the bird sanctuary and Cratloe Woods.
Favourite Book shop - I love the second hand book shops that surround the market, but I also love O’Mahony’s.
Pet hates – how Cruises St has gone so downhill and the Crescent has taken over – boo.
Best Bit – people will talk to strangers in Limerick on a night out!
